I based my design off of my social media post, and decided to use the same colors and typefaces as the post to keep things consistent. The idea was something colorful and generally minimalist. I wanted to appeal to all audiences, but mostly college students as they are the main demographic that a website like this would be marketing to. The typeface is bold, modern, and easily readable, which is why I picked it for the page. For my interactions, I thought it would be best to utilize the buttons that would change from one page to another and make those change color when hovering over, that way you knew it would include an action. I had originally wanted the “sneak peek” button to overlay another frame that would play a video of one of the dances, however I realized that I couldn’t add video’s because of the free tier of Figma. Because of that, I used the button to link to a TikTok posted by the DanceWorks account which showed clips from a rehearsal.
